Reach a published subscriber milestone legitimately
YouTube publishes Creator Award levels beginning with Silver at 100,000 subscribers, followed by Gold at one million, Diamond at ten million, and Red Diamond at one hundred million. A displayed count is only the first condition. Build an audience through videos people intentionally choose to watch and subscribe to. YouTube prohibits services and schemes that artificially inflate views, likes, comments, or subscribers, and says a hired promoter’s actions can still affect the channel. Keep promotion methods documented and policy-compliant.
Pass YouTube’s channel eligibility review
Awards are granted at YouTube’s discretion after review. The official criteria cover more than the number: the channel must be active, must not have a recent Community Guidelines violation, must follow YouTube’s Terms of Service, and cannot be deceptive, spammy, or primarily a compilation or heavy use of someone else’s copyrighted material. YouTube says membership in the Partner Program is not required. Check the current criteria on the award page because eligibility rules, timelines, and availability can change.
Find and redeem the award code
When YouTube confirms eligibility, the channel may receive a notification or redemption code. Follow the official redemption workflow, enter the shipping details carefully, and use the troubleshooting path if the code is missing after a reasonable review period. Do not pay a third party for an “application” or share account credentials with someone claiming they can unlock an award. The official help center and redemption partner are the appropriate places to confirm status, customization, shipping, and damage reporting.
Treat the award as recognition, not a growth tactic
A Creator Award recognizes a milestone and compliant channel history; it does not confer verification, Partner Program acceptance, guaranteed recommendations, or future earnings. Continue serving the audience that chose the channel rather than changing topics solely to display the plaque. Record the milestone accurately in press or sponsorship material and avoid implying YouTube endorses a product or business. If the channel’s ownership, name, or structure changes near redemption, consult the current official guidance instead of assuming the award will transfer.
